music and dining out

We finally managed to get out of the house recently, and ate in one of my favorite restaurants, Kenny Rogers Roasters. Of course, we had our usual order of chicken and a couple of side dishes. I had my current favorite, potato salad and the classic mac n’ cheese. It was a good thing that even though the branch in Trinoma was brimming with people as usual, we still managed to find a table as soon as we got there. Nothing looks better than the site of families and friends bonding together over good food with lovely, relaxing music in the background. I bet restaurants play these music on purpose to whet their customers appetites even more.  They have probably equipped their businesses with top-of-the-line players and stock up on those great CD collections. They must have also invested on other music gears and instruments and save on recording king resonator guitar at guitar center by buying them in bulk.

Oh well, I had to eat the whole platter by myself since Jared opted for another serving of Chowking’s Pancit Canton. Needless to say, I was so full after we are done eating, that I had to rest for a bit while the little man tinkers with my mobile phone playing one of his favorite apps. But it was all good, as I know meals from this restaurant are not only satisfying but also healthy. I look forward to our next family date and dining out adventure. 🙂

An Aristocrat Kiddie Party Meal

foodie adventures, dining out, restaurants

We had the chance to attend an Aristocrat Kiddie Party just last week and we really had quite a wonderful experience. This is the adult platter I got for myself and I must tell you, even when I was not able to sample all the dishes that were served that day, I simply love their pork barbecue with peanut java sauce, as well as the fresh lumpiang ubod, being a veggie lover myself. I also love the crunchy fish fillet with tartar sauce.

And can you just imagine the meal platter they served for the kiddos? Yes, they have a separate meal for the kids and it is fully loaded with burger, chicken lollies, pork barbecue and spaghetti. Any child would have been delighted, except for my little man who has very unique food fetish.

Oh well, we also capped our meal with this decadent dessert, which name escapes me now, it was recommend to us by one of the party hostesses and who am I to pass up the chance, right? And I am glad I tried it. It was delicious without being too sweet. Just the way I like my desserts.

This one-of-a-kind kiddie party is simply one of the best we’ve attended. It was complete with clowns on stilts, story telling activities as well with a magical kalesa ride come sunset. I bet if the birthday celebrants asked for it, the hosts will gladly throw cushions on the patio and decorate the entire place with their favorite Cartoon characters, too!
